This Week, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will scrutinize Amendments" to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the Authority Terms of the Power Bodies, - V. Lytvyn.
V. Lytvyn made this statement in the interview to Channel 5 on Wednesday.
According to V. Lytvyn, it concerns the terms of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine authorities: "The period of authorities of the Parliament lasts 5 years. It determines the date of elections of the President of Ukraine and the period of authorities of the local power bodies."
The Head of the Parliament reminded that, pursuant to the legislation, the bill on amendments to the Fundamental Law shall be supported by 226 People´s Deputies, being forwarded to the Constitutional Court. After all, according to V. Lytvyn, "it is necessary to look for 300 votes" to adoption the final resolution.
